Friendship Week - October 10th -15th 2022 PDF Print E-mail

We had a very successful  friendship week this year and we saw lots of boys demonstrating all they had learned in class about kindness, sharing and inclusion. The theme for our poster competition was 'How to grow a friendship!' and we received many wonderful entries.  It was a very tough job indeed selecting our winners.  Well done to all the boys for their fantastic entries and here are some photos of the winning posters.

Welcome

A very warm welcome to the school website of St. Brigid’s B.N.S. We hope you find our website full of up to date news, views and photographs. The aim of our school is to create a welcoming, secure and caring environment which facilitates the nurturing of each pupil’s full potential. The achievement of this aim informs all of the planning processes and activities in our school.  We endeavour to provide as broad a schedule of activities for our boys as possible in order to give each child every opportunity to develop his own unique talents. We encourage every pupil to engage fully with the curriculum as our dedicated teachers and staff work together with parents/guardians to ensure each child is afforded the opportunity to learn and grow. Teachers and parents share the same aim as partners in education – the wellbeing of the boys in our care.

As you will see we are a very busy school.

Enjoy your visit. Bain taitneamh as do chuairt.

Croke Park Champions - 8th June 2022 PDF Print E-mail

Corn Uí Néill: Brigid’s seal the deal!

What a display. What a victory. St. Brigid’s Senior hurlers came to Croke Park and with the backing of an amazing following, they rose to the occasion against a strongly favoured GS Bhrian Bóroimhe outfit. They cast the shackles of expectation aside and wrote their names in the history books. In what was a rip-roaring contest both teams started at whirlwind pace. Scores were traded as every inch was fought for. The critical juncture of the game came late on as we laid siege to the opposition goal. In a barnstorming last 5 minutes we blitzed the opposition with two clinically finished goals. The final whistle was met with scenes of euphoria as weeks of hard graft culminated in an epic triumph, in Croke Park of all places. Silverware was coming back to the Howth Road. What a journey. What a day!
