Literacy and Numeracy Forum Print

Our school was invited to be involved in the Literacy and Numeracy Forum that took place in the Gresham Hotel in Dublin on 17th October. This followed a very successful visit from our school inspector. The forum celebrated exemplars of quality, excellence and innovation in literacy and numeracy. It was a huge honour for our school to be asked to participate in this event and two inspectors visited the school to interview and film some pupils involved in the Coder Dojo Club. They also interviewed teachers about the theoretical practice and practical application in numeracy and the skills needed in the 21st Century. We are all very proud of this opportunity to showcase the fantastic practice taking place in St. Brigid’s B.N.S. and it is truly an honour to have that acknowledged by the inspectorate at such a prestigious and public event.
