Ms. Gibbons' Junior & Senior Infants Nature Walk Print

Ms Gibbons' class had a Nature Walk on Wednesday 4th October. We found plenty of things for our autumn display!

Ms. Gibbons' Junior & Senior Infants Aistear Print

This month, we have been looking at how to take care of our bodies and have looked at the work of the optician, dentist and doctor as well as making our own "people" out of pasta shapes! We made some food out of playdough, made coffee shops with our polydron shapes and built houses for the people in our "small world". Our "Hospital" is set to open this week taking care of all our patients! Take a look at some pictures of our playtime!

A big "Welcome Back" to Senior Infants and a huge "Welcome" to our new Junior Infants. The Junior Infants have been working very hard in class and we are amazed by how much they have learned already! Here they are hard at work!

The boys in Ms.Good's class were busy colouring blue GAA jerseys to show their support for the Dubs! We also had a proud Mayo supporter in the class.

The boys in Ms.Good's junior infant class have settled in so well into school and have been busy learning all about 'Our Families'. The class have been taking part in Aistear which involves learning through play. Some of the boys can be seen cooking in the kitchen and making meals, other boys have been drawing pictures of their families, others are constructing red houses and yellow house using Lego, and some of the boys have been busy creating their own homes using play dough.

The class will continue to learn about 'Our Families' for the month of September and will be doing lots of activities like creating houses using junk art and ploydrons, designing picture frames, and lots more.

Aistear is well and truly underway in the junior infant corridor. The boys have been busying constructing homes using cardboard and different recyclable materials. They have also been taking part in small world play on car mats, using small planes, cars and tractors. The class have taken part in make-believe play with the theme of a birthday party in the house too!
