Mini Basketball League Final Print

Our senior basketball team capped off an unbeaten season by producing a fantastic performance to win the Dublin Schools Mini Basketball League Final.

After convincing victories over Scoil Assaim, Holy Trinity and O'Connells in the group stage the team faced a talented Ballyroan side in the final at The National Basketball Arena, Tallaght on Friday 9th December. All the preparation put in by the boys came to fruition as the game was fast paced and thrilling from start to finish. Both teams matched each other for scores in the first two quarters with the whole St Brigid's squad putting in fantastic performances against a determined Ballyroan side. As the game progressed Aiden Licken and Ciarán Evans led the way with scores for the offence. Daniel Byrd worked tirelessly in defence and Jacob Mourad dominated on rebounds while Cian Lumley produced some fantastic scores. By the final whistle Brigid's earned the a well deserved win by 31 to 22 points and Daniel Byrd collected the trophy to bring back to Killester.

Mr Caulfield and Ms O'Hare would like to congratulate all the boys involved in the squad this year and thank all the parents for providing lifts and fantastic support on the sideline.
