Annual Relay Race

The Annual Relay Race raised €850 for Lámha Suas, a charity run by Ms. Sheeran that works in Uganda to support the education of girls and young women.  Ms. Sheeran would like to to thank everyone involved, especially Mr. Roche's  class and her own class who were sponsored to run.

'Our World Awards'

The junior corridor did projects on Drought and Flooding in the run up to Easter.

Ms. Meeneghan and Ms. Cocco's junior infants made wonderful illustrations for a story called 'Bringing the rain to Kapiti Plain'.

Ms. Scully's class made fact files about Honduras and Uganda and worked out how long it would take the sea to erode the junior corridor!

Ms. Treanor's class learnt about flooding in Honduras and made evacuation packs and posters.

Ms. Sheeran's class went to St. Annes Park with Mr. Noone's class to learn about the realities of fetching water.

Their work was put on display in the library and was entered into the 'Our World Awards' Competition.Although we did not reach the finals, we did get a lovely certificate in recognition of our work.
