Our Student Council were busy coming up with suggestions for the wellbeing amber flag which we hope to apply for shortly.

Student Council representatives recently received their special St.Brigid's B.N.S. Student Council badges from Ms. Cullen & Ms. McCabe.

It has been very exciting here the last few weeks as a number of boys from 3rd to 6th Class who put themselves forward for Student Council.

We are delighted to have a Student Council in St. Brigid’s.  The aim of the student council is to improve school life for everybody.   We have student representatives from 3rd to 6th class but we aim to include the views of the Junior classes as well.  We have regular meetings which are organised by Ms. McCabe.  Some of the ways we have improved school life include the following:

• Suggestion boxes welcoming all new ideas
• Environmental awareness campaigns in classrooms
• Hand hygiene awareness month
• Student engagement with code of behaviour
• Internet safety advice
• IT equipment clean up
