The Board of Management’s main function is to manage the school on behalf of the patron and for the benefit of the pupils and to provide an appropriate education for each pupil in the school. The functions of the Board are set out in the Education Act 1998. The board is accountable to the patron and the Minister for Education and Skills.

Boards of Management of primary schools are appointed for a four year term and the current term of office is from 1st December 2019 – 30th November 2023.
