We had a lot to celebrate on Wednesday 1st February as it was Grandparents Day and St. Brigid's Day! We had been very busy all week creating lovely art to decorate our classrooms and notice boards with as we prepared to welcome some very important visitors for the first time in a few years.  The morning started with a special mass in the church and a St. Brigid's day assembly in the hall. Shortly after we were very excited to open our doors to all our VIPs ......our grandparents! We enjoyed hearing all about their lives and the classrooms were a hive of activity! A big thank you also to our parents association who provided a very welcome cup of tea in the hall.

Huge congratulations to the two teams from 5th and 6th class who represented the school in the Members First Credit Union School Quiz held in Craobh Chiaráin GAA Clubhouse on Tuesday 7th February. As expected, there was very stiff competition from the local schools with approx. 18 teams in Stage 1 of the competition. One of our teams successfully advanced to Stage 2 of the competition coming in 3rd place and will represent St. Brigid’s B.N.S. in the Regional Final in Craobh Chiaráin on Wednesday 15th February.

We had our first 'Wake Up/Shake Up' of 2023 on Friday 27th January.  All classes took part and great fun was had by all.
